Due to the strengthening of thunderstorm cloud clusters in certain areas, it is expected that there will be strong thunderstorms and tornadoes in our district in the next 2 hours, accompanied by short-term heavy rainfall, strong lightning, and 8-10 level gusts. The Zengcheng District Meteorological Observatory upgraded the yellow warning signals for thunderstorms and strong winds in Xiaolou Town, Paitan Town, Zhucun Street, Lihu Street, and Licheng Street to orange warning signals at 11:49 am on July 8th. At present, the yellow warning signal of rainstorm in our district is taking effect simultaneously. Thunderstorm and strong wind may cause trees to fall, temporary structures to collapse, objects falling from high altitude and other disasters. Please pay attention to prevention. Description

It may be affected by thunderstorms and gales within 2 hours, the average wind force can reach 10 or more, or gusts of 11 or more accompanied by strong lightning; or it has been affected by thunderstorms and gales, the average wind is 10-11, or gusts of 11-12 accompanied by strong lightning, and may continue.

Guidelines

1. Don't go out and make sure to stay in the safest place;

2. Relevant emergency response departments and rescue units are ready to initiate emergency response plans at any time;

3. Reinforce port facilities to prevent ships from anchoring and collision;

4. Properly keep the valuable electrical equipment that is vulnerable to lightning, and put it in a safe place after power failure;

5. Residents in dangerous areas and dangerous houses, as well as ships, should take shelter from the wind. Never take shelter from rain under trees, electric poles, or tower cranes, and turn off mobile phones when lightning occurs;

6. Cut off neon signs and dangerous outdoor power supplies;

7. Stop outdoor group activities and evacuate people immediately;

8. Outdoor workers at high altitudes, waters, etc. stop their operations, and personnel from dangerous areas evacuated;

9. Be prepared for wind and lightning protection;

10. Pay attention to the latest news of thunderstorms and gales reported by the relevant media and notices about wind protection. Students stay in a safe place;

11. Secure doors and windows, enclosures, scaffolds, temporary structures and other structures that are easily moved by the wind. Personnel should leave the temporary structures as soon as possible, and properly arrange outdoor objects that are easily affected by thunderstorms and gales.
