At 23:48 on July 18, 2025, the Quanzhou Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a blue typhoon warning signal: Typhoon Wipha, the 6th typhoon of this year, was located on the sea surface about 1020 kilometers southeast of Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province at 23:00. The maximum wind speed near the center was 8 levels (20 meters per second, tropical storm level). It is expected that "Weipa" will move towards the northwest direction at a speed of 20-25 kilometers per hour, and its intensity will gradually increase. Affected by it, there will still be gusts of 7-9 levels along the coast of our city from the night of the 18th to the day of the 19th. Please take precautions!
