At 07:07 on August 9, 2026, the Jinyun County Meteorological Observatory upgraded the yellow typhoon warning signal to the orange typhoon warning signal: affected by the peripheral circulation of typhoon "White Dolphin", rainstorm has occurred in Shuhong, Shijian, Fangxi and Dayuan, and heavy rainstorm has occurred in the ocean, with the largest ocean sinkhole of 100.1 millimeters; 19 stations have gusts of more than 8 levels, with the maximum of 11 levels (32.3 m/s) at the top of the Dayang Mountain. It is estimated that there will be rainstorm to heavy rainstorm in all towns (streets) of the county today, accompanied by gusts of 8 to 11 levels and 11 to 13 levels at high mountains. Please pay attention to preventing secondary disasters such as small watershed flash floods, landslides, mudslides, urban and rural waterlogging that may be caused by typhoons, as well as the adverse effects of strong winds on outdoor buildings, billboards, etc.

Guidelines

1. The government and relevant departments shall make emergency preparations for typhoon prevention in accordance with their duties;

3. On-water operations in relevant waters and passing ships shall return to the port to avoid wind, strengthen port facilities, and prevent ships from anchoring, grounding and collision;

4. Reinforce or dismantle structures that are easy to be blown by the wind. Personnel should stay in a wind-proof and safe place as much as possible. When the center of the typhoon passes by, the wind will decrease or remain static for a period of time. Remember that strong winds will suddenly blow, and should continue to stay. Take shelter from the wind in a safe place, and promptly transfer people from dangerous houses;

5. Relevant areas should pay attention to preventing mountain torrents and geological disasters that may be caused by heavy rainfall.
