Southern Sullivan County in southwestern Indiana... * WHEN...Until 645 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 150 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.25 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.25 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Wabash River at Mount Carmel. .Minor to moderate flooding continues on the White River and minor flooding continues on the lower Wabash at Mount Carmel. Additional rainfall of half an inch to 1.25 inches from this morning through Friday morning was included in the forecast. The initial crest on the White is at Petersburg, but an additional lower crest is expected to start working its way down the river Thursday and bring minor flooding back to Elliston by Thursday evening. The crest on the Wabash should reach Mount Carmel on Sunday. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...White River at Elliston. * WHEN...Until late Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, River Road north of CR 150 W in Greene County is flooded. Low agricultural fields flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 15.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tomorrow evening to a crest of 19.5 feet Friday evening.
