East Central San Patricio County in south central Texas... * WHEN...Until 715 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 417 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Secondary roads and low bridges near the creek are also flooded. Impact...At 25.0 feet, Major flooding reaches the approaches to the Farm to Market 763 bridge. Numerous outbuildings and barns are surrounded, and flow approaches apartment buildings below Farm to Market 763. Kings Crossing Golf Course is at least 1/2 flooded. Water is within 3 feet of some homes. Water flows across Oso Parkway Road at 2 low areas in the extreme south portion of the Lakes Subdivision. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:15 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 19.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 11.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this afternoon to a crest of 24.0 feet tomorrow morning at moderate flood stage. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - The combination of a moist tropical airmass, a stalling front, and a broad area of low pressure over eastern Mexico will result in heavy rain. Isolated pockets with rain totals of 6-8 inches or more are possible with rain rates that could exceed 2-4 inches per hour at times.
