Most susceptible areas will be Long Beach and Avalon Harbor Tuesday and Wednesday. Then, Malibu to Ventura Wednesday through Friday. * WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon through Thursday evening. * IMPACTS...There is an increased risk of ocean drowning. Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Waves can wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats nearshore. Moderate flooding of sea water is possibly over some vulnerable low-lying coastal areas, especially around the morning and evening high tides, including over beach parking lots, bike paths, and harbor walkways. Moderate beach erosion is possible to likely. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There is a moderate chance that an upgrade to Coastal Flood Advisory and/or High Surf Advisory will be needed. These products will likely need to be extended into the weekend.
