Heavy rain may fall on a deep primed snowpack leading to the melt increasing. Flows in rivers may increase quickly and reach critical levels. * WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of central New York, including the following areas, Northern Oneida and Southern Oneida. * WHEN...Through Thursday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff from heavy rain and snowmelt may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Ice jams will also be possible in areas where significant ice remains. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Between three quarters of an inch and one inch of rain is expected through Thursday morning. This rain combined with warm temperatures will result in significant snowmelt.
