At 13:10 on October 30, 2026, the Wenshan Meteorological Observatory issued a red warning signal for drought: According to the latest monitoring, the comprehensive meteorological drought index of most towns (streets) in Wenshan City has reached extreme drought. It is expected that meteorological drought will continue to develop in the next 7 days, and the risk level of meteorological drought is high. Please save water.
Description
It is expected that the meteorological drought index will reach extreme drought in the next week (meteorological drought is once in more than 50 years), or more than 60% of crops in a certain county (district) will be affected by drought.
Guidelines
1. Relevant departments and units shall do a good job of emergency response and disaster relief for drought prevention according to their duties;
2. Governments at all levels and relevant departments have launched emergency water supply plans such as remote water transfer, and adopted various methods such as pumping external water, drilling deep wells, and delivering water on vehicles to ensure the living of urban and rural residents and drinking water for livestock;
3. Supply urban residents' domestic water for a limited time or limit, reduce or stop agricultural irrigation water supply in stages;
4. Non-productive high water consumption and service water use are strictly prohibited, and the discharge of industrial sewage is suspended;
5. The Meteorological Department will increase the intensity of artificial precipitation in a timely manner.
