At 5:40 on August 20, 2026, Wanzhou District Meteorological Observatory upgraded and released the "rainstorm yellow warning signal". It is estimated that at 5:40-11:40 on August 20, the precipitation in Gaosuntang, Tailong, Zhonggu Tower, Dazhou, Xiongjia, Xiaozhou, Pailou, Chenjiaba, Lihe, Gaoliang, Tiefeng, Taibai, Shahe, Tiancheng, Zhoujiaba, Jiuchi, Changping, Laodu, Wuling, Xinxiang, Guocun, Yanshan and other towns and townships will continue, with the maximum rainfall of 40-70mm and the maximum hourly rainfall of 40-60mm. This process will start at 5:00 am on the 20th, with a maximum cumulative rainfall of 40-80 millimeters, accompanied by lightning and gusts of wind. Please take precautions.

The Chongqing Forest and Grassland Fire Prevention and Extinguishing Command, Chongqing Emergency Management Bureau, Chongqing Forestry Bureau, and Chongqing Meteorological Bureau jointly issued the "Forest and Grassland Fire Orange Warning Signal" at 14:30 on August 16, 2026. 32 districts and counties in our city, including Liangjiang New District, Dadukou, Shapingba, Jiulongpo, Nan an, Beibei, Banan, High tech Zone, Tongnan, Hechuan, Tongliang, Dazu, Rongchang, Yongchuan, Bishan, Jiangjin, Qijiang, Wansheng, Nanchuan, Changshou, Fuling, Dianjiang, Fengdu, Liangping, Zhongxian, Wanzhou, Kaizhou, Yunyang, Fengjie, Wuxi, Wushan, and Wulong, have already experienced high forest and grassland fire danger meteorological levels. It is expected that the above-mentioned districts and counties will continue to have high or extremely high forest and grassland fire risk meteorological levels from August 16th to 20th, with a high risk of forest and grassland fires.
