青海省气象台8月31日16时30分发布暴雨黄色预警：预计，09月01日14时至02日14时，西宁、海东、海西东部、海南、海北、玉树大部、果洛北部、黄南将出现中到大雨，累计降水量10～45毫米。湟中、湟源、互助、平安、乐都、化隆、民和、尖扎的部分地区将出现暴雨，累计降水量50～70毫米。最大小时雨强20～30毫米。主要降水时段集中在1日20时至2日08时，过程期间伴有短时强降水、冰雹、雷暴大风等强对流天气。发生山体滑坡、泥石流、中小河流洪水、山洪、城乡积涝等次生灾害的气象风险高，请注意防范。
