Ice accumulations around a light glaze. * WHERE...The South Plains, Rolling Plains, and the far southern Texas Panhandle. * WHEN...Until noon CST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Roads will become snow-covered and slippery resulting in very dangerous travel conditions, and travel is likely to be extremely difficult throughout the rest of the weekend. Power outages and tree damage are possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snow is expected to occur during the overnight hours from tonight into early Sunday.

Wind chills may fall as low as 20 below zero on Monday morning. * WHERE...The South Plains, Rolling Plains, and the far southern Texas Panhandle. * WHEN...Until noon CST Monday. * IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 15 to 20 below zero could result in frostbite and hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Frostbite can occur in as little as 30 minutes if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. The extended period of freezing temperatures could also cause ruptured water pipes.
