Moderate to heavy snow expected this weekend.Where: Highway 3 - Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass, mainly near Kootenay PassWhen: Tonight into late Sunday.What: A strong Pacific frontal system is moving across southern interior tonight through Sunday. Light snow will intensify after midnight and continue through late Sunday. The snow will taper off to a few flurries Sunday night as the front exits the region. Amount: Total accumulations are expected to be in a range of 10 to 15 cm.
