Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms with locally very heavy rainfall are expected today and potentially continuing through tonight. For the Bogue Chitto River...including Tylertown, Franklinton, Bush...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Bogue Chitto River at Franklinton. * WHEN...From this evening to Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Bogue Chitto Heights Subdivision will begin to flood. Some homes will be damaged. Homes on the west bank north of Louisiana Highway 10 will flood. It is recommended that sand and gravel operations be stopped and equipment secured. Access roads to recreational areas will flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:15 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 5.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening and continue rising to a crest of 15.5 feet tomorrow evening. Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Pearl River near Bogalusa. * WHEN...Until Sunday, June 28. * IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Woodlands and crop acreage along the river will be flooded. The Bogue Chitto Wildlife Management area will be inundated with water in recreational camps and over access roads. At 21 feet, property east of Louisiana Highway 21 along Bogalusa Creek will begin to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:15 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 17.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 20.9 feet Saturday evening. TAMMANY WASHINGTON IN MISSISSIPPI THE NEW WATCH INCLUDES 4 COUNTIES IN SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI HANCOCK HARRISON JACKSON PEARL RIVER THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF BAY ST. LOUIS, BOGALUSA, COVINGTON, CROSSROADS, DIAMONDHEAD, ENON, FRANKLINTON, GAUTIER, GULFPORT, LACOMBE, MANDEVILLE, MCNEIL, MOSS POINT, OCEAN SPRINGS, PASCAGOULA, PICAYUNE, SLIDELL, ST.
