At 10:50 am on September 6, 2025, the Chuxiong Meteorological Observatory issued a Level IV lightning warning: It is expected that strong lightning activity will occur in Chuxiong City, Dayao County, Lufeng City, Mouding County, Nanhua County, Shuangbai County, Wuding County, Yao an County, Yongren County, and Yuanmou County in the next 12 hours. There is a high possibility of lightning disasters and accidents, accompanied by strong convective weather such as gusts of 9 or above, large hail, and short-term heavy precipitation in some areas. Relevant departments should take measures to prevent lightning, strong winds, and hail, and the public should suspend outdoor activities during the passage of strong convective weather.
