In the river basins of eastern Latvia, the soil has been significantly wetter than normal for an extended period. In some areas rain and thunderstorms are expected in the coming days, which may cause flooding in low-lying areas, as well as rising water levels in water bodies. BE AWARE of the potentially flood-prone areas! The environment is already overly humid, water is accumulating in the fields and in the lower depressions, low-lying areas on the banks of water bodies are flooded.
